Our major stop for the day was at Kanab Creek, where we took another hike to a beautiful turquoise blue oasis.

Some of the group stayed here, while others walked on to another series of pools.

Fern Glen Campground at mile 168.5 after a 28 mile day on the river.
One of the most wonderful things about a truly remarkable trip was being able to relax and catch up with so much of the family. This trip was not only a gift of beauty and a chance to see some of the more remote and inaccessible parts of the U.S., it was a gift of time and an opportunity to really enjoy the good people sharing the journey.
Listening to Lori read a nice story that her husband wrote about his time on the river.
