Newseum

Conor and I took a day to ourselves and visited the Newseum in Washington DC.  I hadn't been to this museum before, and it was filled with great exhibits covering hundreds of years of news and media history.
Conor standing in front of the largest remaining section of the Berlin wall in the world.  It was set up so you can walk around it and see that on the western side there was artwork and social commentary, but on the eastern side it was completely bare.  There was also a guard tower, showing how the eastern guard watched over the wall preventing any citizens of East Germany from escaping to West Germany.

The view from the top floor of the museum is amazing in all directions.  They have a cool exhibit out on the balcony showing old pictures of Pennsylvania Ave. as it has changed over the years.

POGO! The museum had a small exhibit on the history of comics in newspapers.

The National Archives building is just across the street.
