Some things look just that same whether we are celebrating Christmas in India, the Caribbean, China or the USA...
The same nativity scene which the kids love to set up, and which Ryan still loves to play with.
The same happy faces on Christmas morning.
The same ecstatic Ryan who believes he is the luckiest kid in the world!
The same mess!
Conor opening his first phone would have been the same reaction anywhere... and Ryan was almost as excited as Conor because he could finally talk to him about it! This may have been the first year Ryan successfully kept present-related secrets!
The Christmas trees don't look quite the same though.
We have one little fake tree that doesn't quite cut it. Everywhere else we have lived it was possible (although really expensive) to purchase a live tree, so I have fought against getting a fake tree for years. This little guy on the right with some of our bird ornaments in it was the closest we could come locally, and it definitely wasn't the same. Another thing that was the same though, was the joy and laughter that filled the house on our first Christmas in Delhi.
Merry Christmas!
