Welchman's Hall Gully

The boys and I took a trip this morning to meet some friends at Welchman's Hall Gully. There are lots of Gullies in Barbados, but this one has a nice nature trail paved down the middle so it is fairly easy to walk it! There were lots of opportunities to get up-close and personal with millipedes, which the boys both found fascinating, as well as beautiful trees and some flowers. It was a hot day, and down in the Gully was incredibly humid, but we had a nice time.

Walking along the trail that led into the Gully...

After our walk we hiked up to a lookout point and had a picnic. Here is the whole crew--
Emma, Marianne, David and Ila Moody, Conor and Ryan.

Welchman's Hall Gully is made from the collapsed roofs of caves, and it is connected to the Harrison's Caves which we visited earlier in the year. You can find more information on the Gully at http://www.welchmanhallgullybarbados.com/
