A last minute trip to the beach.

Last Sunday afternoon Conor came to me and complained that it had been a whole week since we went to the beach, and he couldn't believe we hadn't gone all weekend. After commiserating with him on the absolute horror of such a thing ever happening, we decided we could do something about it and headed down to the beach closest to our house. It is only about 5 minutes away, so within 30 minutes of Conor bringing the subject up, the boys and I were getting our toes wet in the sea. Here are some pictures from that day.

I don't know why, but Conor just looks so grown up to me in these pictures...

especially in this one.

I love these buckets of Ryan's. We just leave the sand toys in the car now so we are always ready to dig!

Ryan decided to make a "snowman" at the beach. He donated his own hat, and collected small pieces of seaweed for the arms. He was very proud of his work, but also really loved stomping on him before we left.

Conor didn't want to leave, even after the sun went down and it started to get chilly.
