NQR (short for Not Quite Right) is what we call things in China that just aren't quite what we are used to... or quite what we expect them to be. We find ourselves pretty frequently having NQR moments, and this morning I had one when I looked at our fruit bowl. This is a picture of the fruit Xiao Wu picked up at our local market yesterday. In case you can't read the sticker on the bananas it says "Doritos!"
Now I know I have been away from the states for a while, but I still find it hard to believe that Frito-Lay has branched out into the banana market!
I don't know who the target market is, but it's hard to imagine an association with nacho cheese chips in any way helping make the bananas sell quicker... but then thats just what NQR moments are all about.
