We had a really nice birthday bowling party for Conor a few weeks back. A sports club just around the corner from us has an upstairs alley and we had the place to ourselves. As with everything here some things were just a little different from home. The alley didn't have shoes for the kids to wear and allowed those who were wearing tennis shoes to stay in their own shoes (oh joy!) but the kids wearing any other kind of shoes had to bowl barefoot! I fully expected someone to drop a ten pound ball on their foot but lots of fun was had by all... and no one lost their toes!
