BALI

We recently took a wonderful family trip to Bali and I will be putting some of the pictures up on the blog over the next few days. We had a wonderful vacation. The people of Bali are warm and welcoming, and the laid-back lifestyle seems to fit us better than the big city hustle and bustle of Shanghai. Something about the nice weather and beach (maybe it is a diet rich in seafood?) just seems to make for a relaxed population. We were reminded of our time in the Bahamas in many happy ways, and would not mind at all serving again on an island...
These first pictures are from the first day trip we took to the "elephant-back" safari park

Conor feeding the elephants... he definitely enjoyed feeding the baby more!

And pictures of all of us riding on the elephants. We had fun, except when Conor and Greg's ride decided to charge a bit. Not much you can do to slow down a charging elephant! Part of the trip was walking through a little river. Conor was a little upset about this until Greg pointed out that if he fell off it wouldn't hurt as much landing in the water!
