Back in Delhi, Back to normal

In New Delhi, life just continues to go on as normal.  One of the really fun days at AES every year is International Day, when kids are encouraged to dress in traditional clothes from their home countries and they take part in an assembly that celebrates all of the different nations represented at the school.  It's both a fun day, and an impressive display of the diversity at AES.  Here are some pictures of Ryan's class, which is made up of 16 kids from 11 different countries.  The largest groups are from Korea (3) and Indian/US dual citizens (3). There are two kids from the USA, and a few more dual nationals from France/USA and Panama/USA. The other countries represented in his class are Malaysia, Canada, Italy, Japan, South Africa and the United Kingdom. It's like a mini United Nations in there!

Ryan is also involved in Cub Scouts again this year. It's a nice group of only 6 boys in his grade, and they are able to get together fairly frequently for outings and adventures.  A few weeks ago our den leaders took them on a hike through some woodlands very close to our house that we didn't even know existed!  The kids were able to work on their Paws on the Path badge and had a nice time together.

Another fun day at AES is the Elementary School annual Fun and Games Day (Monday Funday!) The kids run through various obstacle courses and games that are set up around the large field.  This year they got incredibly lucky, and in a week of terrible air quality, the Fund and Games day was clear, with a low AQI, so all of the kids could participate.

Everyone loves some parachute time!
