Introducing Scout!

Introducing Scout, the newest member of the family!
Although we always thought when we finally got another dog it would be a Cavalier, with as much traveling as we do it made more sense to get a small dog who can travel with us in the cabin when we fly.  From our days with Dodger at obedience trials, the only small dogs who we regularly saw excelling at obedience were Papillons, so we did some research and found this little guy. He comes from a line of Westminster Kennel Club winners, so it is almost like having royalty in the family!
The three pictures we had of Scout before we bought him... who wouldn't want this little guy? I am sure he missed his Golden Retriever friend for a while, but I think that Conor and Ryan more than make up for him!
Scout flew from his home in Kentucky to  LAX, where we picked him up and stayed the night at John's house.  This is the first family picture we took, before we even made it into the house that afternoon.  He had just been alone on an 8 hour journey but he was such a trooper and loved the boys instantly.

A more recent photo with him showing off his new fancy name tag!

Scout is alert and playful and funny. He has a toy that is bigger and heavier than he is (he is only 6 pounds and the toy is filled with beans!) that he loves to drag all over the house.  He is sweet and he loves to curl up at your feet for a nap.  He is also naughty and has already chewed through two computer cords... so yeah, he is also expensive!  Ryan says Scout is cute, nice awesome and "the best puppy ever in the whole history of the world".  Conor says Scout is not half bad, and he also says "by that I mean that he is awesome!"  Conor also loves that Scout is so tiny and so fast and he enjoys watching him run circles around other dogs in the neighborhood.  Scout's biggest and most important job is waking Ryan up in the morning because Ryan just can't seem to be grumpy with Scout like he is with anyone else waking him up for school!
One thing I know is Scout is a very well loved member of the family.

Scout trying to sleep on his big comfy bed while I take his picture. When he curls up like this he looks SO tiny!

Giving up on that sleeping thing, its tough to be so cute.
