Hello Mr. President

President Obama is in Shanghai as part of his Asia tour, and this morning there was a quick "meet and greet" with consulate staff and families. It was pretty crazy, but Conor was able to shake hands and say "Hello Mr. President" and Ryan got a quick belly tickle from the big man himself! Pictures of the affair are less than perfect because it was really crowded and not exactly set up for getting great shots, but we were told that the official photographer would be clicking away and if there are any shots with our family in them we will be given copies later. Here are the pictures I did get, and I know that Conor, Greg and I will remember today for the rest of our lives!

These shots are before President Obama got to the room... Conor and his friend Noah passed some time coloring and Ryan got pretty tired of waiting...

And here are some shots of Ryan and Greg listening to the President's comments. He was very gracious saying he appreciated all of the work the diplomats in China are doing and thanking the family members for the sacrifice of living away from family and friends.

President Obama then came over to where the kids were standing and shook a few hands...

I know it is hard to tell here, but he is shaking Conor's hand. Conor said his part... "Hello Mr. President" and in return President Obama said "very nice to meet you!"

And here Ryan is getting a Presidential tummy tickle!

All told we were actually only in the same room for about 15 minutes, and it took the entire morning to get into location and then get back home in the rain and horrible traffic... but it was definitely worth it. Its just not every day Ryan can get his tummy tickled by the President!
