first haircut

So we finally did it... Ryan got his first haircut! Greg is very happy, and I am not as sad as I thought I would be. We found a place in Shanghai that has cool cars for the kids to sit in, and they even provided an ayi who helps the stylist keep the kids entertained while he does his thing.



The stylist worked pretty quickly, but the ayi still had plenty of time to read Ryan a book...

As always, getting something done in China is the same but different. Ryan's hair turned out great, and I was able to save a few curls for his memory book. I must have done a good enough job of saying "short, but not too short" and they only gave me a few strange looks when I said I wanted them to give me a little bit of his hair!
