Conor, Ryan and I had a wonderful visit at my parent's house in Lancaster. We happened to be there when the almond trees were just starting to drop their crop, so we got to help with the first part of the harvest. Conor (and to a lesser degree Ryan!) helped pick up the almonds, and even got to shake the branches to make more drop to the ground. Conor's favorite part was when he figured out that he could get some to drop by throwing a boomerang into the trees! When Conor filled his bag with nuts he would dump it in a box, and anyone willing to help out would sit around the picnic table in the evenings and shell them.
