Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas here in China. For those of you who were wondering, Santa was able to find us after yet another move! Conor enjoyed opening his own and Ryan's presents, and even one or two of mine. After spending the morning opening presents and playing games, we went out in the afternoon to take a picture to include with our annual letter (which obviously isn't in the mail yet!) We went to ZhongShan Park in the city. It was our first trip there, and we had a nice walk around one of the most famous green-spaces in Shanghai. Despite the cold we saw elderly Chinese couples practicing the waltz, one or two people doing Tai Chi, quite a few games of Go, and some people playing traditional Chinese instruments in an old pagoda.

In the evening the Consul General invited everyone over to her house for sweets, which was nice. The CG and her husband are really nice people, and it is always fun spending time with them. Conor was most impressed with the private theater they have in their house, as they had Kung Fu Panda playing to keep the kids occupied!

We came home and had a quiet night, read a few Christmas stories and generally just enjoyed each other's company.

We hope that all of our friends, in places all around the world, had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Love,

Kate
